Job Overview: We seek a highly motivated and experienced Technical Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team and drive business growth in the water management sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in water management systems and a proven track record in developing and implementing successful business strategies. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and overseeing the technical aspects of water management projects. Key Responsibilities: Grow existing accounts by maintaining relationships with clients Manage the operation of accounts by responding to customers, forecasting, arranging services and supporting orders. Generate new leads and tackle existing leads to contribute to business growth Develop technical specifications and project plans for projects. Proven business development ability - driving sales of products or services, ideally with a technical aspect Ability to communicate pricing, product, or service details clearly to customers Good professional manner, i.e., telephone, email etc. Numeracy and literacy - strong understanding and capability to work with figures, percentages, currencies, and formulas Generating quotations, customer proposals, tenders, and sales reporting This is a remote on-the-road role, and the ability to travel nationwide is essential Qualifications and Skills: Full Clean Driving Licence Technical Sales experience of >3 years as an Account Manager or Account Executive Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's degree or Business qualification is a plus. Proven experience in technical business development within the water management sector. IT proficiency - Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ideally experienced with CRM systems as well as Excel and conference call platforms Strong understanding of water management technologies, including wastewater treatment, water purification, and water conservation. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships. Project management experience with a focus on delivering technical solutions. Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the water management industry.
