Role Purpose:
APM Terminals has embarked on an exciting new growth strategy. Based on its vast experience and internationally recognized processes, we aim to have a best-in-class implementation setup through standardized and optimized clear processes whilst managing an agile team to enable delivery. This setup will enable successful evaluation and delivery of various types of projects including large new capital investments, integration of mergers and acquisitions, and expansions of existing facilities.
The role will lead Asset Maintenance discipline within BIM on the growth pipeline from an implementation perspective, be accountable for developing business cases and implementing APMT AM standards and systems within all new projects under BIM portfolio. Additionally, all AM professionals from projects will functionally report to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as an Asset Management Business Partner to the Head of BIM, BIM leadership, and Project Directors/Managers.
Act as a liaison between regional Asset Management leadership, BIM, and Global Asset Management to ensure alignment of priorities.
Collaborate closely with global Asset Management, Engineering, Decarbonization, and Automation teams to ensure all equipment and Asset Management standards are implemented in accordance with APMT processes.
Support BIM teams throughout the project lifecycle, from initial business case development to full implementation of Equipment and Asset Management standards (organization, systems, infrastructure, etc.).
Work with the Head of Asset Delivery to build the Equipment and Asset Management organization for new projects.
Engage with key stakeholders and challenge requirements to ensure the use of the most up-to-date and fit-for-purpose asset maintenance solutions.
Drive integration activities for newly acquired businesses, ensuring seamless incorporation into APM Terminals.
Provide oversight of AM strategy implementation in projects and lead the creation of new global AM standards, such as condition assessments, lifetime extension, and asset relocation.
Lead the Maintenance & Reliability Readiness program, ensuring site preparedness and the flow of essential data.
Partner with all APMT technical and engineering functions to ensure alignment during business case development and implementation.
Develop and upskill the terminal Asset Maintenance community across the asset lifecycle.
Collaborate with OEMs/Suppliers on Asset Maintenance, Reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assess project delays and recommend corrective actions to mitigate impacts.
Support, coach, and guide Equipment Managers and Asset Management Leaders within the project scope.
Apply a hands-on, GEMBA approach to problem-solving in collaboration with terminals and functional subject matter experts.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial or infrastructure project-related environment, preferably in the transport and logistics sector.
At least 10 years of leadership experience in engineering and asset management disciplines.
Proven project management experience in a real-time environment (logistics, shipping, etc.) and exposure to project controls.
Strong understanding of port equipment, automated systems, and controls, or related industrial infrastructure architecture.
Demonstrated experience in business case development and team start-ups.
Advanced knowledge of heavy equipment and asset management.
Skills:
Strong team player with the ability to motivate peers and reports to achieve project success.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Proficient in standard professional programs (MS Office, ERP/CMMS systems).
Persuasive and able to influence colleagues and vendors to achieve project goals.

Education:
Graduate degree in Engineering or a related field.
