We are looking for an experienced, visionary, hands-on, people-oriented lead to drive regulatory change by optimizing end-to-end data flows throughout the entire organization. You will steer a large cross-border team and collaborate with various key stakeholders (predominantly within COO Finance, Data Operations, COO Risk but also COOs, CFOs, CROs and business). You will be directly reporting into the Bank's COO for Finance and also benefit from an explicit steer from the COO Risk on end-to-end regulatory transformation work as well as a direct link into the head of CDMO.In short, this is an extraordinary opportunity to be impactful to the Bank with visibility to the most senior stakeholders in ING as well as external stakeholders.The role includes developing a vision for the central finance and risk data & reporting capability, translating it into concrete implementation plans, driving specific regulatory transformation work and educating stakeholders.You will be located in Amsterdam with direct steer on teams Amsterdam and Manilla.Your role and work environmentCOO Finance (COOF) is an independent unit reporting into ING's CFO and COO. It is accountable for executing ING Finance and COO strategy to evolve towards one global digital bank.The COOF mission is to enable excellence in Finance with real-time business insights, derived from state-of-the-art technologies, optimal use of data and highly effective operations.As Tribe Lead Granular Reporting you will be working with the leadership team of COO Finance and also COO Risk on large end-to-end transformation initiatives with the aim to establish robust technology solutions and corresponding processes to cater for timely, accurate, complete and auditable data for various external and internal reporting purposes. You will also be the Chief Data Officer (CDO) for Finance, setting the direction and building bridges between the global data organization and Finance organization to enable the data strategy of the bank for Finance.Your teamsYou will lead a number of product leads and their teams to develop, implement and/or maintain products and services. You are responsible for setting the long-term strategy and leading the Tribe Granular Reporting organization in achieving its (long term) objectives. Responsible for the execution of all activities of this organization in Netherlands, ING Hubs and with our SSI partners in India, including risk & control activities to remain in control of risks and keeping the bank safe.The Product teams in scope of the Granular Reporting Tribe are:FRIDA Data Reporting: This team creates the reporting from the Finance & Risk Integrated Data Architecture for various regulatory initiatives for Finance and Risk such as credit risk loan tapes, ESG, Finrep. This includes the necessary IT change and run activities.Financial Supervisory Reporting: Ensure the delivery of the Supervisory Reporting from the Enterprise Datalake, eg DGS reporting, in line with the regulatory requirements. This includes the necessary IT change and run activities.Granular Regulatory Reporting: Ensure the delivery of the AnaCredit, CRE, RRE, and similar granular regulatory reporting, in line with the regulatory requirements. This includes the necessary IT change and run activities.Finance & Risk Reconciliation: Provide functional expertise on reconciliation, including matching, and the technical implementation of the reconciliation mechanisms.As CDO Finance, you collaborate with the global data organization and get their support with the expertise and execution of data related activities for the Finance function. Data governance and data quality will be your primary focus, however, data protection and modeling topics will also require your attention.Your key responsibilitiesAs Tribe Lead you take responsibility for:Implementing the strategy of COO Finance and COO Risk in your area of responsibility.Delivering change according to plans.Implementing one single data warehouse for Finance and Risk (FRIDA).Streamlining the requirement setting and data delivery for new Finance and Risk (mostly regulatory) initiatives (eg ESG).Developing the necessary skills and capabilities for data-driven and digital products and services.Staying safe, reliable and compliant on your products and services.Continuously working on ways to improve and optimize your products and services.People leadership and driving people development, employee engagement and diversity in your organization.Actively engaging and aligning strategies, demand and priorities with (senior) stakeholders in Finance, Risk and the data organization.As CDO you take responsibility for the Finance domain by:Implementing the data strategy and bring data under governance.Ensuring data quality measures are in place for data users in the Finance domain, set priorities for the remediation and track progress on it.Driving and following up on regulatory compliance on data, e.g. on the BCBS239 principles.Participating in the domain governance bodies on data, coordinate data priorities between the various Finance parties, follow up and monitor on data management issues.How to succeedWe hire smart people like you for your potential.
