We are currently expanding our infrastructure team and are looking for a Network Technician. You will be part of the Infrastructure Delivery (ID) team, delivering AWS network installation and deployments in AWS Cloud regions. You will work closely with internal customers, external vendors as well as coordinating regional resources to facilitate smooth project execution in association with Technical Program Managers. Key job responsibilities
- Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes with continuous improvement in mind.
- Work closely with our Network Engineering & Network Technical Program Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth rollout of new designs and products.
- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, servers, switches using provisioning portals.
- Lead network and committee projects & Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflow.
- Installing and patching network cabling of various types and lengths while demonstrating a functional knowledge and disciplines for fiber optic and network cabling and labeling conforming to AWS standards.
- Handling heavy equipment (move and lift computer equipment up to 50lbs).
- Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures. Diagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical basic replacement of damaged or faulty equipment and devices.
- Knowledge of IT system hardware or network experience.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks, fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies
- Background in large scale datacenter network implementations and support.
- Experience working in virtualized enterprise networking environments
- Worked in small-scale/server-room to have the understanding of rack-allocation & structured cabling
