Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • A member of MIA. Possessing a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA would be an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in full set of accounts or accounts-related work.
  • PC literate with good working knowledge of ACCPAC accounting software would be an advantage.
  • Familiar with accounting standards, Companies Acts, and Tax Guidelines.
  • Good financial analytical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and skills in risk assessment for potential risks and their consequences.
  • Must be organized, able to multi-task, flexible, and responsible.
  • A team player with a positive mindset and able to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare full sets of accounts, check & monitor accounts receivables, accounts payable and prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly cash flow.
  • Ensure petty claims are in order before disbursement.
  • Update monthly management report structure and financial schedules.
  • Prepare yearly financial budget & forecast.
  • Prepare 5-year projections and cash flow.
  • Prepare fixed assets schedule.
  • Arrange for physical audit on fixed assets and monitor the needs for disposal.
  • Liaise with external auditors on the schedule of yearly audited accounts and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
  • Liaise with tax agents on tax computation and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
  • Liaise with company secretary on secretarial related issues.
  • Conduct tax forecast, tax review, and tax planning/saving.
  • Verify, monitor, control, and liaise with suppliers for purchasing requests and ensure timely issuance of purchase orders.
  • Make constructive and cost-effective recommendations for the betterment of the company.
  • Support the entire ISO 9001-2015 development of the company and related follow-up matters as needed.
  • Carry out any ad hoc tasks required by Management as necessary.
  • Responsible for daily operational matters of the accounts department.
