Job Title: Lead Developer Location: Bristol Office Location: Fully Remote Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum Job Summary We seek a highly skilled and experienced Lead Developer to join our team. The Lead Developer will be responsible for technically leading a team of developers, architecting and developing high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical leadership skills and be able to help drive continuous improvement in our software development processes. This role requires someone to spearhead technical initiatives and gain buy-in from the business and the technical team. The Lead Developer will collaborate with a Product Manager. This is a chance to help an engaged, hardworking team who need a guiding hand and help build them into a high-performing autonomous squad and unlock more products and avenues for a rapidly growing business. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring high-quality software design and code standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to the development team.
- Develop and maintain back-end services, databases, and APIs.
- Troubleshoot, debug and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
- Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct system analysis to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.
- Foster a continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation culture within the development team.
- Promote the adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices where applicable.
- Experience as a Lead/Principal Engineer/Development Team Lead having mentored/led technical teams.
- A solid technical grounding in Javascript and AWS.
- Strong technical leadership experience.
- Strong architectural and SOLID coding knowledge.
- Permanent contract
- Up to £75,000 per annum
- Flexible working hours (core hours of 10 am - 4 pm)
