Partner with the best As an Upstream Chemicals Technical Engineer, you will work alongside the SEA Technical Manager engaging with our internal and external customers to help define and execute our strategic vision. You will be part of a focused team meeting customer needs through fit for purpose chemical solutions. As an Upstream Chemicals Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Working alongside the SEA Technical Manager and APAC Technical Manager to collaborate with internal and external customers and establish fit for purpose production chemistry solutions.
- Leading and monitoring the progress of new technology introduction for the analysis function.
- Supporting our regional laboratory technicians and chemists to complete technical service requests (TSRs), following up and ensuring the testing is completed in a timely manner.
- Travelling offshore as needed to provide hands-on production chemistry support including process troubleshooting, fluid sampling, sample analyses, and chemical injection optimisation.
- Analysing data and clearly communicating the results through written technical reports and/or presentations to internal and external customers.
- Providing technical support to upstream chemicals supply and service tenders.
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of oilfield upstream chemicals/production chemistry experience, with added advantage if working offshore on a rotational basis as an offshore chemist.
- Have experience in a number of common oilfield treating chemical applications and SISQ experience.
- Demonstrate competency in common Microsoft Office software products.
- Have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with fluency in written and verbal English.
