Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Excel Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy to join the orthopaedic service at North Dublin's top orthopaedic hospital on a full-time, permanent basis. Our client is looking for a qualified healthcare practitioner that is passionate about running triage clinics and has an interest in musculoskeletal disorders.

Responsibilities of a Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy:

1. Assist in the triage of waiting list referrals and suggest patients who would benefit from musculoskeletal triage clinics.
2. Undertake 3-5 clinics per week, including triage clinics, physiotherapy sessions, and admin and research time.
3. Supervise and support the staff on the team.
4. Communicate effectively with all members of the team, patients, and their families.
5. Take responsibility for the assessment, development, and implementation of patient care plans.
6. Participate in the creation of policies and procedures and adhere to them in the relevant therapeutic areas.
7. Document all incidents and accidents appropriately and report to the Therapy Services Manager.
8. Keep accurate documentation on all aspects of assessment, treatment, and outcomes relevant to patients of the service.

Requirements for this Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy job:

1. Hold a BSc. in Physiotherapy and be a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
2. Have at least 5 years' post-registration experience and at least 3 years' experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (ortho, rheumatology, hand therapy, occupational health, emergency department, primary care).
3. High levels of organizational and communication skills.
4. Relevant postgraduate qualifications will also be considered.
5. Must have knowledge and understanding of healthcare systems in Ireland.
