Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Excel Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy to join the orthopaedic service at North Dublin's top orthopaedic hospital on a full-time, permanent basis. Our client is looking for a qualified healthcare practitioner that is passionate about running triage clinics and has an interest in musculoskeletal disorders.
Responsibilities of a Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy:
- Assist in the triage of waiting list referrals and suggest patients who would benefit from musculoskeletal triage clinics.
- Undertake 3-5 clinics per week, including triage clinics, physiotherapy sessions, and admin and research time.
- Supervise and support the staff on the team.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the team, patients, and their families.
- Take responsibility for the assessment, development, and implementation of patient care plans.
- Participate in the creation of policies and procedures and adhere to them in the relevant therapeutic areas.
- Document all incidents and accidents appropriately and report to the Therapy Services Manager.
- Keep accurate documentation on all aspects of assessment, treatment, and outcomes relevant to patients of the service.
Requirements for this Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy job:
- Hold a BSc. in Physiotherapy and be a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
- Have at least 5 years' post-registration experience and at least 3 years' experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (ortho, rheumatology, hand therapy, occupational health, emergency department, primary care).
- High levels of organizational and communication skills.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications will also be considered.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of healthcare systems in Ireland.
