Hayes solicitors is a legal firm with a great city centre location opposite St Stephen’s Green. We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to join our IT team reporting to the head of IT. Below are some of the tasks the successful candidate will be helping with. Although some experience with the below is an advantage, the successful candidate will get an opportunity with this position to develop skills in the following areas:
- Desktop support for internal and remote users. Taking ownership of cases and seeing them through to resolution.
- Help in provisioning of user hardware and equipment.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment within the company.
- Help look after Windows physical servers and virtual environment including AD, GP, DNS, patching and office 365 platform.
- Network infrastructure maintenance.
- Work on Projects and take ownership of varying Projects.
- Develop and maintain procedures and standards.
- Administer matter management solution.
- Printer Troubleshooting.
- Liaise with vendors when needed.
- Help with internal security audits.
- Have a 3rd level degree or relevant certificates.
- Have relevant IT background and experience in troubleshooting in some or all the following: desktops, networks, Windows support, and application support.
- Understanding of providing VIP support.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good motivational skills and be capable of working well on one’s own or as a member of a team.
- Good analytic skills and the ability to see a problem through to close.
- Ability to prioritise problems based on their potential impact to the firm.
- A proven record of willingness to take the initiative and adopt a proactive approach.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work on several things at the same time while working to a deadline.
- Be able to research new technologies and report on how they may benefit the company.
- The ability to complete some out of office hours work when necessary.
