Responsibilities
Knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards, International Building Code IBC, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, Saudi Building Code, and British Standards.
Develop fire safety strategies and design solutions in compliance with local and international codes and standards.
Experience in occupant load calculations, fire zoning, travel distance, and means of egress.
Experience in preparation of fire safety submissions to Dubai Civil Defense and Abu Dhabi Civil Defense.
Experience in negotiating with authorities for approval on fire safety designs and proposals.
Undertake drawings review and identify any non-compliance with the applicable codes and standards.
Ability to independently undertake and lead fire safety projects.
Proficiency in CAD and Revit software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements
Master Degree or Bachelor Degree of Engineering from a recognized university for Fire Engineering specialty / Chartered Professional Engineer.
Have an Education Equivalency Certification from United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education.
Have min. 10+ years of previous experience with Fire and Life Safety Specialist consultant.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
