Job Summary Job Description DUTIES: Provide technical leadership to teams responsible for designing and implementing Wi-Fi strategy, wireless convergence, Wi-Fi and IoT architecture development for the company’s home network and wireless product offerings; architect and implement device network specifications and characterizations using Mesh Networks and Wi-Fi technologies including Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 7, RDK, OpenSync, and Plume-proprietary steering mechanisms; provide subject matter expertise to our engineering team to identify and optimize the architecture and configurations for device settings and cloud controllers within our networks; collaborate with the QA test team to help craft appropriate test cases and test suites to ensure compliance and the best customer experience; engage with a cross-functional team of software and hardware engineers and testers as well as cloud developers in order to assess, triage and help resolve performance issues with our network solutions and product architectures; refine Comcast’s home networking strategy to ensure it aligns with industry trends; analyze, test, and evaluate home networking solutions from third parties; develop and test prototypes, new products and applications for the home network; oversee the documentation of all prototype shop activities; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. In performing duties, directly supervise Engineers, Software Development & Engineering. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and seven (7) years of experience designing computer network architectures using Mesh Networks, WiFi technologies, OpenSync, and RDK.
