This role involves managing a team of contracted developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and aligning development projects with the Oxagon's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of software and product development methodologies.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIESKey Accountabilities & ActivitiesStrategic Planning and Alignment - Develop and Implement Development Strategy:Define the software and product development strategy to align with the Oxagon's goals and objectives.Collaborate with senior management to ensure development projects support overall business strategies.Project Planning and Management:Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects.Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Technical Leadership - Technical Oversight:Provide technical direction and guidance to the development team.Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, coding standards, and quality assurance.System Architecture and Design:Oversee the design and architecture of software applications.Ensure scalable, maintainable, and efficient software solutions.Code Review and Quality Assurance:Coordinate with contracted developers to conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with standards.Implement and manage quality assurance processes to maintain high software quality.Stakeholder Collaboration - Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with other Oxagon units to gather requirements and ensure software applications meet business needs.Facilitate communication between stakeholders and the development team.Requirement Analysis:Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications.Ensure clear and comprehensive documentation of requirements and specifications.Continuous Improvement - Process Optimization:Continuously evaluate and improve development processes and methodologies.Implement tools and technologies to enhance development efficiency and effectiveness.Recommend and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices to keep the development team competitive.BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
