About the opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi We are seeking a dynamic Capability Business Partner to lead the development and delivery of the capabilities build plan, a core element of delivering our Strategic Workforce Planning programme for our Innovation & Brand (I&B) business unit. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with Directors and General Managers across I&B, primarily within Research & Development, to shape and deliver the future of our workforce. Working in alignment with the strategic workforce plan, you will help envision the future state of our capabilities and create a clear roadmap to transition from where we are now to where we need to be. Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with external partners and I&B leaders to identify current and future technical capability needs and preferred approaches to acquiring or building these capabilities.
  • Create and promote career pathways.
  • Identify opportunities and methods to build talent and capability strength.
  • Support the development and implementation of a succession and talent plan.
About you | Ko wai koe You are an experienced professional with a background in Organisational Development (OD) or a strong track record in developing and facilitating training programmes. You may have formal qualifications or practical experience in applying adult education principles, and you have a passion for fostering learning and development within complex organisations. Ideally coming from a science background, or with an understanding of scientific capabilities, you’ve successfully worked in an L&D or OD role within a complex, technical environment where you’ve been able to translate and support intricate learning needs. You are someone who can navigate ambiguity with ease, comfortably adapting to changing needs and shifting priorities while keeping a clear focus on long-term goals.
