If you are an architectural technologist who is passionate about innovation in the industry and the advancement of how we use BIM to improve the construction process, this role is for you.

A growing firm and expert BIM consultant is seeking an architectural technologist to join their team to oversee the creation of construction document sets for mid and high rise residential buildings. The company is on the leading edge of disrupting the status quo way we design and build in Canada, and are reverse engineering the process in order to design and produce intelligent pre-fabricated structural systems. They have already seen tremendous success in the low-rise market, and are quickly growing their mid and high rise project portfolio.

Description:

Contribute to the production of construction documents in Revit

Oversee more junior team members in order to put together quality and complete drawing sets from SPA through to CD

Review drawing packages before the final review is done by an architect in order to minimize changes and errors

Mentor and teach the team on mid and high rise construction

Work closely with our partner structural pre-fabrication company in order to design new products that make assembly on site efficient

Communicate with outside consultants and partners

Qualifications:

5+ years of local experience as an architectural technologist working in Revit, or minimum 6 completed mid or high rise buildings working drawing packages produced in Revit

Strong knowledge of construction technology and how to produce quality drawing sets

Ability to guide junior staff, delegate work and review work for errors

Clear communication
