Job Description
Strategy and Development: Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice capacity planning vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance General and Task Management:- Analyze specifications and capacity, developing capacity utilization methods and materials/requirements planning (MRP).
- Lead and own the site's cross-category planning process, ensuring visibility of supply capacity and alignment with demand plans.
- Develop capacity plans and shipping schedules to ensure on-time order delivery, while coordinating responses to unplanned events.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives, ensuring accurate information is used for planning, and refine systems to improve forecast accuracy and resource utilization.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team, while upholding core values of integrity and safety.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in capacity planning within the ports and transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of resource management, warehouse capacity planning, and statistical forecasting.
- Certifications in Six Sigma, Capacity Planning, and Inventory Management are required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with 4+ years of people management experience.
