Why FirstOntario?Competitive compensation packagesTop-tier health and wellness benefits, along with both a Health Spend Account ($500/yr) and a Personal Spend Account (up to $125/yr)Up to $1000 per year towards professional developmentPension PlanCompany-wide Employee Volunteer program (Blue Wave Program)Employee and Family Assistance ProgramExclusive banking benefitsJob OverviewThe Senior Application Developer will be responsible for translating software requirements into workable programming code and will maintain and develop programs for use in business, automation, configuration management, workflow development and parametrization.RoleTake the lead on the development of APIs and web applicationsLead on code development and/or modifications to routines, versions, enquires, screens, tabs, menus, process workflows, local fields, and local tablesActively participate in the development and testing of technical updates to the T24 Banking SystemComplete interface updates, modifications, automation of services, and developmentReview programs for corrections and enhancements or environment changesEnsure and confirm parametrization changes in T24 are completeApply your capabilities and know-how for the documentation of requirements and RFPs as required for existing and new clientsStay up to date in your area of expertise through research and consult about potential software and/or system changesCommunicate with others about current industry trends, new technologies and services that impact member and employee experience as well as providing factual recommendationsMaintain user manuals and training materialsAccurately maintain and ensure FirstOntario's data integrity standardsConsider health & safety as a primary concern to ensure the safety of self and othersPerform other duties as requiredRequired SkillsPost-secondary diploma or degree in computer science or equivalent in a related programHave a minimum of eight (8) years of working knowledge of Java, APIs, mobile development, .NETHave training and experience in Temenos T24 software support and development considered an assetUnderstand and have working knowledge of System Develop Life Cycle (SDLC) processes for planning, creating, testing and deploying an information systemHave knowledge of application development best practicesBe quick to respond to requests for service from all of your clients in a manner which is clearly understoodBe analytical and detail oriented when dealing with technical support issues and IT projectsAbility to provide strong member experienceDemonstrate superior written and verbal communication skillsBe aware of and mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and proceduresBe available to work evenings and weekends as the job demands and travel as requiredInterested in this role, but don't meet every requirement?
