Summary As Tech Lead, you will be the first employee of Inviqa in India with a goal to expand the team as project demands dictate. You will work within a highly distributed, remote first engineering team who are located across the world (UK, Germany, Hungary and India). As a Tech Lead, you will be hands on in delivering work on various existing or new projects and you will be the authority in the standards, processes and quality of work delivered by you and your growing team in India. Your industry experience will predominately come from a backend software engineering background working in a mixed team of frontend (or full stack) engineers, backend engineers, devops, QA specialist and experience designers. Inviqa’s software engineering stack is focused on the following specialist areas, which you should have demonstrable experience with. Expertise in everything is not required, however an ability to champion, grow and evolve our modern engineering stack is a must:

  • ReactJS, NextJS, Remix
  • Node (Express), Python (Django and Flask)
  • AWS & Azure Administration
  • For our legacy projects we use PHP
For commerce website we use Shopify For content management we use ContentStack For product information management we use Akeneo A few of our legacy projects use Drupal 10 CMS (some of these projects will require support but we do not plan to expand on this technology beyond our current clients)Key Areas of Responsibilities and Skills As Tech lead, you will perform the following type of work:
  • You will estimate the effort and timings of the technical aspects of projects.
  • You will often need to converse with clients to clarify requirements and attend regular internal and client facing project planning meetings and actively participate in those meetings, document requirements and define technical approaches.
  • You will learn and adopt Inviqa’s established software engineering standards and processes and ensure they are adopted by your team as it grows over time.
  • Where established processes and standards and can improved, we would expect you to proactively be the architect of change, exerting your influence to drive continuous improvement in technical processes and standards.
  • You will be hands on, delivering software and therefore proficient in the programming languages and frameworks that Inviqa use. We don’t expect you to be a deep expert in every single language and framework we use but we expect demonstrate growth mindset and expertise in at least some of the tech stack we use.
  • We don’t expect you to an expert in all the vendor platforms we use (as mentioned above), however a willingness to learn and grow skills in those platforms is a must if you do know some of our vendor platforms this would be very beneficial.
  • You are adept at systems integration, which can often require the development of APIs, ETL processes and the use of API management systems and iPaaS solutions.
  • We expect you to actively keep up to date on the latest developments in the field of software engineering, especially in the programming languages and frameworks we use at Inviqa (see above)
  • You have a personal passion for innovation, learning and curiosity in the latest developments in tech such as Generative AI solutions or other areas as they emerge and be ready to get your hands dirty to try new technologies.
