This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, the smooth flow of logistics operations, and the proper management of vendor contracts to support the company's business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Procurement Management:Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry.Manage the entire procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of goods and services.Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to ensure timely order placement.Logistics Operations:Oversee the logistics operations to ensure efficient transportation and delivery of goods.Develop and manage logistics plans and schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs.Manage the storage, warehousing, and distribution of goods to ensure proper handling and storage conditions.Contract Management:Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Monitor contract performance and manage any amendments or renewals as necessary.Resolve any contractual disputes or issues that may arise with vendors or suppliers.Cost Control and Efficiency:Analyze procurement and logistics costs to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Implement best practices in procurement and logistics to streamline processes and reduce costs.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement, logistics, and contracts.Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and logistics operations.Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.Ensure all procurement and logistics activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and legal departments, to align procurement and logistics strategies with business goals.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on procurement and logistics initiatives.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in procurement, logistics, and contract management.Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in procurement and logistics software and tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Preferred Qualifications:Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement effective procurement and logistics strategies.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Adaptability and willingness to learn and implement new practices and technologies.
