Job Title: Senior Accountant – Wrexham, North Wales Location: Wrexham, North Wales Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join a thriving accountancy practice based in Wrexham, North Wales . We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual who is either fully or part qualified with ACCA or ACA and is keen to take on a role that offers both challenge and reward in equal measure. This position is ideal for a talented accountant with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills who thrives in a client-facing role. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Produce first draft financial statements for more complex assignments, ensuring all client queries are identified and cleared before passing the file for review.
- Tax Compliance: Draft tax computations and return forms for all entity types and complete the tax working papers schedule.
- Final Adjustments: Following client review meetings, ensure any necessary final adjustments are accurately processed in the financial statements and taxation software.
- Submission of Financials: Submit approved financial statements and statutory tax returns in accordance with the specific needs and deadlines of the entity.
- Mentoring & Development: Provide coaching, training, and support to Associates, utilising your knowledge and experience to develop their skills.
- Management Accounts: Produce client management accounts and provide relevant commentary, ensuring client needs and deadlines are met to support them from an advisory perspective.
- Review Work: Review working papers produced by Associates, ensuring compliance and quality control.
- Be self-motivated and a team player .
- Be fully or part-qualified with ACCA or ACA .
- Have excellent communication skills .
- Have the desire and ability to develop and grow within a forward-thinking and supportive environment.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills.
- Have a strong technical understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
- Desirable: Previous experience using CaseWare would be an advantage.
