We are firmly committed to looking after our staff, from safety in the workplace through to professional development, ongoing training, and equal opportunities.With the company showing continued growth, this is a great opportunity to work closely with dynamic team of talented professionals.Work Type: Full TimeAbout the role:We are seeking qualified Carpenters to join our Building and Construction Services team to work on projects across the Defence Sector based in SA.This will include, but is not limited to:Writing and reviewing JSA's and risk assessmentsWorking on a variety of maintenance and minor worksReading, interpreting and communicating plans effectivelyReading blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully understand the requirementsGeneral building works, framing, 2 nd fix and hanging doorsLaying flooring, roofing repairs, or plasterboard installInstalling fixtures and hardware such as door handles, locks, and door closersInspecting places and conduct repairs or maintenanceEnsuring compliance with McMahon Services safety, quality and business processesAbout you:To be successful in the role, you will need:Previous experience working as a carpenter on commercial projectsCertificate III in CarpentryGeneral knowledge of all building and construction site worksAn ability to take direction and work unsupervised as a team playerConstruction White Card and current Driver's LicenceEffective written and verbal communication skillsTo be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for Work assessmentYour own standard tools - speciality tools provided by the companyTo obtain DCSI and Defence clearanceAn ability to travel on occasions within South Australia to our regional construction sites.
