The ideal candidate will contribute to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all financial tasks. They will oversee the financial operations of the business and provide frequent financial reports. They will also assure strict adherence to financial regulations and compliance. Job Title: Finance Director Position Overview: Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving the company’s financial strategy. The ideal candidate should have experience with ERP systems, strong knowledge of export regulations, and a deep understanding of accounting automations. This is a remote/virtual position, requiring close coordination with the executive team and relevant departments. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and execute financial strategies in alignment with business goals. Provide detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. Oversee cash flow management, ensuring optimal liquidity for operations. Drive profitability by analyzing product lines, cost structures, and pricing strategies. 2. Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis to internal and external stakeholders. Implement and monitor KPIs for business growth and financial health. 3. Export and FEMA Compliance: Ensure compliance with FEMA regulations for foreign exchange transactions, export incentives, and remittances. Assist in export financial operations, including letters of credit, foreign payment collections, and managing foreign currency risks. Liaise with auditors and legal professionals to ensure compliance with relevant laws. 4. Automation & ERP Implementation: Guide the integration of accounting automations using ERP solutions like SAP, or ERPNext. Automate financial workflows, including tax filings, invoice generation, payment tracking, and reconciliations. Implement financial control systems that ensure compliance with regulations and improve process efficiencies. 5. Cost Optimization & Profitability: Perform cost analyses to optimize operational expenditures. Drive cost control initiatives and improve efficiency in resource allocation. Lead initiatives to identify, quantify, and track cost-saving measures across departments. 6. Tax Compliance and Audit Oversight: Ensure the company adheres to all statutory tax compliance, including income tax, GST, TDS, and export incentives. Liaise with auditors to manage annual audits and ensure accurate representation of financial health. Develop strategies for tax planning and mitigation of financial risks. 7. Banking & Fundraising: Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and lenders. Oversee fundraising efforts, including equity/debt financing and financial negotiations. Provide financial support for securing working capital, bank loans, and letters of credit. 8. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key financial advisor to the , board of directors, and management team. Present financial strategies and forecasts to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity. Engage with external partners, including banks, investors, auditors, and tax authorities. 9. Team Leadership & Development: Guide and mentor the finance and accounting teams, building robust financial governance. Ensure continuous professional development and training of the finance team, focusing on automations and ERP efficiencies. Qualifications & Skills: 1. Education: CA/CPA/CMA or equivalent professional qualification in finance and accounting. Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in finance is a plus. 2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership/CFO role. Experience in manufacturing, export businesses, or large-scale operations is highly preferred. Proven track record in ERP implementation and automation (experience with systems like SAP, Oracle, ERPNext, etc.). Extensive knowledge of FEMA regulations, international taxation, and export incentives. 3. Skills: Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills. Deep understanding of automation in finance, ERP systems, and digital transformation. Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities. Effective communicator with the ability to present complex financial data to non-finance executives. Proficiency in handling tax audits, compliance, and managing external financial relationships. Soft Skills: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a virtual setting. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. Adaptable to a fast-paced business environment. Ability to work across various time zones and handle remote team dynamics. Compensation: Competitive remuneration based on experience.
