Do work that makes a difference We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Architect to join the team on a fixed term contract till September 2025. This role will be responsible for the design and development of data architecture / data models for the Accelerated Data Consolidation Program (ADCP) - a strategic initiative to streamline mission critical data onto the Bank's BI Platform. The role will ensure compliance with the applicable data management and architectural standards, principles, strategies and patterns. This role is also expected to participate in data analysis, data design and development of logical and physical data models to support the detailed design and development. This role involves consultation with a wide variety of groups and individuals including the Scrum teams, BI Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, the Bank's Enterprise Data Office (EDO), key business stakeholders, BI support team and external data providers. Your team This role is part of the Corporate Services Group, Information Technology Department. The Corporate Services Group is responsible for the effective provision of information technology, workplace and data management services to support the delivery of the Bank's policy, operational and corporate objectives. Your background To be successful in this role you will possess;

  • Proven knowledge and hands on experience in data modelling techniques. Experience in using IBM Data Architect /Erwin.
  • Experience with Metadata; Dimensional modelling, Semi-structured data e.g. XML/JSON.
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience working closely with Scrum teams and external parties on architecture and design.
  • Knowledge of Big data analytics tools such as Cloudera Data Platform and Posit desirable.
  • Knowledge of BI tools such as PowerBI and Tableau would be a bonus.
  • Relevant IT accreditations or certifications, particularly in data management or business intelligence architecture.
  • Experience with Governance considerations such as privacy, sovereignty, security, and data lifecycle/retention
