Job Title: Director, Engineering
We are currently looking for an experienced Director, Engineering for a well-established manufacturing and food service client of ours. This role is accountable for the successful implementation of engineering standards, processes, metrics, and strategies that support high growth and evolution of our client's organization. Fundamental to the successful implementation of these initiatives is the building of collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. This person will also provide leadership to the engineering team for Western Canada.

Responsibilities
Create and implement a system for evaluating and prioritizing engineering projects to ensure they align with the organization's goals.
Show thought leadership and a strong commitment to identifying and pursuing continuous improvement opportunities.
Develop engineering standards and processes to ensure effective implementation of related initiatives.
Create and apply methods and procedures for managing projects from inception to completion.
Develop processes and procedures for providing clear and timely project updates to senior management and the leadership team.
Determine the resources needed to support and enhance in-house engineering capabilities.
Qualifications
Engineering degree with regional accreditation (P.Eng)
Project Management Certification
At least 15 years of hands-on experience managing capital projects.
Minimum of 10 years in a management role, preferably within food processing.
Knowledge of various different types of regulatory environments (e.g. environment, sanitation, etc.)
Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
Proven ability to manage the performance of others to achieve desired results.
Must be willing to travel extensively.
