What you can expect

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Service Desk team to ensure efficient resolution of customer queries and technical issues.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Service Desk.
  • Promote strong and continuous communication with local management, with regular comprehensive updates on all IT related matters
  • Perform IT Business Relationship Management (BRM) tasks in collaboration with the respective business partners
  • Close cooperation with the works council and the HR and legal departments

What you bring with you

  • At least 5 years' experience in a service desk or technical support role, including at least 3 years in a management position in a multinational company
  • Strong understanding of IT support processes and ITSM software
  • Profound leadership and people management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and corresponding organizational skills
  • Experience in managing budgets and IT resources
  • Knowledge of current products, standards, technologies and methods
  • Certification in ITIL with an accompanying understanding of IT service management
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
