We are offering temporary accommodation for suitable tradespersons who apply from the eastern states. BMH Electrics is an employer of choice because we do things differently; we hire full-time. We offer both FIFO and metro-based work opportunities, or a combination of both. BMH Electrics Pty Ltd exists to maintain, install, and assess electrical assets and equipment for a wide range of customers including land developers, power utilities, mining, display technologies, and advertising as well as the domestic market. Electricians are responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, installing, and modifying electrical components and systems. Electricians generally work at homes, businesses, and construction sites, and typically work as contractors. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completing all facility electrical and related project works as directed by the site supervisor/project manager/operations manager.
  • Assuming complete responsibility and accountability for installation of all service, equipment, and materials utilized to complete work.
  • Inspecting and testing components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears.
  • Surveying electrical systems, circuits, and plans.
WORKING IN THE PILBARA
  • Safety is paramount whilst working remotely. This is not negotiable.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Teamwork is essential within this position.
  • Strict deadlines must be adhered to.
  • Required to use various information technology systems (Tech savvy).
  • May have to work in hot, dusty, dirty, and noisy environments.
  • May have to work in confined spaces.
  • May have to work at heights.
  • May be exposed to high-risk work activities that have resulted in catastrophic events.
  • May be required to work with and on hazardous equipment.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/KPI's Essential Criteria (Mandatory)
  • Current Western Australian A Grade Electrical License.
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years experience across all electrical aspects.
  • Valid Driver's License minimum Class C.
  • Working at Heights certification.
  • Apply First Aid certification.
Desirable Criteria
  • WA Electrical Contractor License advantageous.
  • High Risk Card Class WP, LF.
  • Valid Driver's License Class HR advantageous.
  • Current RTIO Lock Holders, Personal Isolation and Iron Ore Essentials.
  • Air-conditioning/Refrigeration Split ticket advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and architectural drawings at a minimum.
