Engineering Manager (HVAC)

Minimum Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma
• 10 – 15 Years’ experience of which 5 years should be in management
• HVAC/refrigeration experience essential
• Proficient on MS Office Suite

• Accountable and responsible for all sales, estimating, engineering, contracting, commissioning and site related issues within the HVAC Department
• Provide innovative solutions for the HVAC industry
• Develop and maintain systems that allows HVAC to remain innovation and the market leader within the HVAC industry
• Provide leadership and mentorship to staff
• Create and maintain a culture of training and a team environment
• Client and site visits as and when required
• Detailed design engineering of all HVAC products i.e. air handling units, roof top units, condensing units etc. in accordance to Clients specifications and HVAC standards
• Provide detailed unambiguous information to drawing office for submittal and construction purposes
• Compile detailed Engineering Submittals for approval
• Ensure that we receive quick approval of engineering submittals
• Refrigeration pipe selection and design layout
• Reverse valve selection and complete ordering sheet
• Evaporator coil selection, including distributor selection
• Selection of electronic expansion valves and complete ordering sheet
• Select and complete ordering sheet for all capital equipment required as per the approved engineering submittal
• Arrange for unit transportation, including insurances, duties etc. as and when required
• Compile electrical specification for Electrical Engineer
• Compile commissioning details for Commissioning Engineer
• Project management for the full life cycle of the project from sales to product handover
• Ensure Clients have the required credit limit or payment terms are agreed upon
• Create and maintain the filing system required for all documentation, both digital and hard copies
• Develop current Suppliers and source new Suppliers
• Negotiate with Suppliers
• Process orders
• Liaise with Suppliers, Clients and Colleagues
• Issue works order to production
• Weekly quality inspection of units in production
• Monitor production progress
• Coordinate product commissioning, inspection and collection
• Validate invoicing
• Submit variation quotations to Clients as and when required
• Ensure that all variations are approved by the Client and receive written orders
• Compile Owner’s manual
• Process enquiries for HVAC products
• Estimate and update master cost sheets
• Compile written quotations
• Ensure that minimum quality objectives are met
• Perform all tasks that are required in line with company vision and mission
• Adhere to ISO 9001 quality management system
