- Be part of the production of the Government's monthly financial statements and fiscal forecasts
- Learn and apply public sector financial management frameworks
- Provide support and advice to Government reporting entities and teams within the Treasury on accounting, appropriation and consolidation issues
- Communicate financial results in an effective manner to a range of stakeholders (e.g. Ministers)
- Contribute towards the effectiveness of the team via collaboration
- Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships
- A Chartered Accountant qualification with at least two years (post qualification) of financial accounting or auditing experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to represent the Treasury
- A focus on continuous improvement and personal accountability
- Self-starter with initiative who can think independently and drive outcomes
- Exceptional relationship management skills and credibility to engage with and influence at all levels
- Experience at consolidation accounting; Public sector experience would be helpful but is not essential
