The Softgels business unit produces gelatin capsules for the pharmaceutical and nutritional markets and is based in Tilburg, Netherlands and High Point, USA. This location will be based at the Tilburg facility, a manufacturing plant with eight production lines. Annual sales amount to € 50M and FTE total around 285.
The Senior Manager of Transformation Finance will be responsible for alignment of accounting and finance activities for the Tilburg site to business unit and corporate policies, as well as alignment with the High Point site. Will play a key role in improving the financial processes of the Tilburg site. An integral part of the Softgels Finance Leadership team, this position will collaborate with the Softgels Business Unit Finance Director in providing solutions to accomplish multiple financial related tasks.
Responsibilities
Process Alignment: Implement process alignment projects across various finance activities to promote standardized global approaches to financial planning, analytical reporting, and accounting
Gross Margin Expansion: Support gross margin expansion initiatives by highlighting progress on key drivers and promoting standard and comparable ways of reporting
Work to understand opportunities to connect and integrate data from these different systems to reduce time spent on non-value add manual data aggregation work for the Tilburg Finance function
Develop strong relationships with groups across the site and business unit
Partner with the finance team and functional teams to understand process gaps and improvement needs where Transformation efforts can be most impactful
Engage with Business Unit and other site leaders to benchmark and leverage best practices
Recommend and communicate vision for Finance reporting
Act as a change agent and strive to build unity across the Tilburg site and Softgels Business Unit
Support accounting close activities as needed
Initiate processes to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis that are clear, concise, and actionable
Align accounting policies for a systematic approach to following corporate policies
Provides relevant data, analysis, and fact-based recommendations
Drive documentation of all processes across the Tilburg finance function to be robust and transferrable for new team members
Contribute by improving monthly and annual forecasting S&OP process to better align stakeholders and gain buy-in
Improve work life balance of the Tilburg finance team through efforts to reduce manual processes, and engage more with shared services
Keys to Success:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred.
Experience
Demonstrated work experience within business operations implementing operational improvement solutions across multiple departments and fields simultaneously
Outstanding financial analysis skills
Strong eye for business and judgement
Business analysis, financial planning and reporting skills that generate business insights that add measurable value
Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
Consistent record of working effectively in a highly matrixed environment and capable of gaining dedication and coordinate action for initiatives
Ability to have effective working relationships across the company at both site, business unit, and corporate level

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
More than 5 years in controlling/business finance positions with demonstrated success
Solid understanding of accounting regulations and company accounting policies and practices, and unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards
SAP and Hyperion experience is a plus
Meaningful experience in manufacturing preferred
Advanced desktop application experience Microsoft Power point, Excel, Word, and Access
Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and SEC reporting
Ability to travel up to Audit, Taxes & Accounting, Corporate Finance & Strategic Planning
