Company Description SPARC India, established in 1996, is dedicated to empowering Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) through various rehabilitation, education, and vocational training programs. Founded by Dr. Amitabh Mehrotra, who has cerebral palsy, the organization focuses on enhancing the lives of PwDs by providing access to education, skill development, and inclusive society initiatives. With projects like the Jyoti Kiran School and Community-Based Rehabilitation, SPARC India promotes dignity and independence for the disabled community. Role Description This is a remote part-time flexible internship role for Business and Management Interns at SPARC India. Candidates do not need to commute to the organization office. This is currently an unpaid role with a stipend possible in the near future. The intern will be responsible for and supported with preparing proposals for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding for the organization as well as handling the relevant corporate communications. Interns will be provided with ample opportunities to utilize their business planning and analytical skills. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Persons with Disabilities. This role comes with an opportunity to directly impact executive decisions for those wishing to expand and refine their skills. Responsibilities
- Preparing proposals for CSR funding for the organization as well as handling the relevant corporate communications
- Analyzing optimum business strategies for the organization
- Assessment of the ongoing projects within the organization
- Experience with CSR applications and other communication with corporations
- Analytical Skills and Business Planning
- Strong Communication skills
- Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of Persons with Disabilities
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Pursuing or completed a degree in Business, Management, or related field
- Freedom to utilize skills in any department of the organization
- Being a part of a grassroots organization influencing social changes and positively impacting lives
- Acting as an intermediary between SPARC India and firms such as HCL, HP, Airtel, etc.
