  • To implement KOC PMC Safety policies, HSE Management System and Project specific HSE Management Plans as they apply to the project. Ensure that the site complies with the relevant HSE Legislation and KOC HSE requirements.
  • Implement the project HSE MS.
  • Maintain Statistical data for the Project.
  • Prepare reports as required for the Worley KOC PMC HSEQ Manager.
Specific Accountabilities:
  • Provide advice and assistance to EPC HSE managers to reduce the risk to project employees and the environment.
  • Provide guidance to the EPC contractor management team on HSE issues through the interpretation of KOC policies and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure EPC contractors maintain statistical data concerning health and safety and training programs.
  • Review EPC contractor Safety Management System and advise of required changes.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with KOC, regulatory bodies, and EPC contractors.
  • Visit the project site regularly to ensure interest and awareness of HSE is maintained, conduct safety talks and training sessions.
Other Key Activities:
  • Pro-actively visit site and implement safety measures with the EPC contractor.
  • Ensure quality safety observation program is implemented and maintained on each site/project.
  • Assist EPC contractor construction management personnel in identifying hazards.
  • Maintain a HS&E audit and assessment program for the location.
  • Carry out regular inspections of work areas with the EPC contractor line manager.
  • Disseminate safety information throughout the workplace.
  • Assist in accident investigation processes and report accordingly.
  • Develop and implement safety initiatives to improve safety performance.
  • Ensure HSE safety inductions are undertaken for all new employees.
  • Monitor the availability and use of safety apparel and equipment.
  • Advise on the development of project specific procedures and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) training.
  • Ensure effective communication on HSE matters between all parties.
  • Accountable for identification and control of HSE issues on construction sites.
  • Experience in HSE reporting procedures and familiar with safety hazards in construction activities.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Diploma in Engineering or HSE related Diploma.
  • Minimum years in post qualification experience.
  • Minimum relevant years of experience in Oil & Gas post qualification experience.
  • Minimum relevant years of experience in a Safety supervisor role.
  • Practical experience in identification and control of HSE issues on construction sites.
  • Experience in HSE reporting procedures and familiar with safety hazards in construction activities.
