Your primary responsibility is to accurately translate medical diagnoses, procedures, and related health information into standardized codes using the ICD-10-AM classification system. Your work directly impacts patient care, reimbursement processes, and healthcare analytics. Job Vacancy: Clinical Coder (Inpatient) – (ICD-10-AM) Work Week: Monday to Friday Shift: Night Shift Other Features: Full-time US calendar applicable Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign ICD-10-AM Codes: Review medical records, physician documentation, and clinical information to assign appropriate ICD-10-AM codes for diagnoses, procedures, and other relevant health data.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and administrators to ensure accurate coding and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Stay Current with Guidelines: Keep abreast of changes in ICD-10-AM guidelines, including any modifications specific to the Australian healthcare context.
  • Validate Coding Accuracy: Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy and completeness of coded data.
  • Maintain Confidentiality and Ethical Standards: Handle sensitive patient information with utmost confidentiality and adhere to ethical coding practices.
  • Contribute to Quality Improvement: Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing coding processes and overall healthcare quality.
