Job Overview: As the QA Lead with a focus on automation, you will be responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts for our software projects. You will design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Rest Assured, BDD with Cucumber, and TestNG, while also guiding and mentoring team members in both automation and manual testing practices. Your role will involve working closely with Agile teams to ensure that all testing activities align with project goals and deadlines. Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Rest Assured, Cucumber, and TestNG to ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficiency.
• Guidance & Mentoring: Lead and mentor the QA team on best practices for automation and manual testing, providing guidance on script development, test design, and execution.
• Manual Testing: Oversee and perform manual testing as needed to complement automated test efforts, ensuring thorough coverage of test scenarios.
• Test Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define test plans and strategies, including scope, objectives, and test criteria for both manual and automated tests.
• Agile Collaboration: Work closely with Agile development teams to integrate testing processes into the Agile workflow, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the automation framework and overall QA processes.
• Defect Management: Track, report, and manage defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting of issues.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.

Requirements:

• Experience: 7-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong emphasis on automation.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, Rest Assured, BDD with Cucumber, and TestNG for test automation.
• Manual Testing: Solid experience in manual testing techniques and tools.
• Agile Knowledge: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with a good understanding of Agile principles and practices.
• Team Leadership: Proven experience leading and mentoring a QA team, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Relevant QA certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level or similar.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Additional Skills: Familiarity with additional testing tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, JIRA, Jenkins) is a plus.
