Food Safety Officer (6 months Contract)
Job details
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and audits of food production processes, facilities, and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Train and educate employees on food safety and hygiene practices, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products.
Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, and non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive actions to address issues.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food safety activities, inspections, and training sessions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) is required.
Proven 5 years of experience in a food safety or quality assurance role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and quality management systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and educate employees at all levels.
Must be on a freelance visa able to do secondment.
Must have a valid QID.
Must be willing to work and stay in Ras Laffan.
