We are excited to partner with a prominent aviation client to find a highly skilled Aircraft Power Plant Engineer. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Power Plant Engineer to manage and oversee the comprehensive maintenance and management of our client's aircraft engine fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, extensive experience in powerplant engineering, and the ability to provide strategic support and technical guidance. Core Responsibilities: Fleet Management: Oversee all aspects of aircraft engine fleet management and associated activities. Technical Review: Review Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives for Engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), and Nacelles. Implementation Oversight: Supervise implementation programs for modifications to Engines, APUs, Nacelles, and accessory parts. Maintenance Support: Provide technical support to Line and Heavy Maintenance teams. Reliability Studies: Support and conduct reliability studies to enhance engine performance. Engine Health Monitoring: Control and oversee Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) systems. OEM Liaison: Collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to resolve reliability and technical issues. Documentation: Generate and manage operator documents including MEL Technical Notices, Procedure Notices, Engineering orders, and reports. Lease Management: Provide technical support for aircraft lease reception and returns. Invoice Review: Scope work and review invoices for engine shop visits. Schedule Management: Manage Engine Shop visit schedules, costs, and relationships with Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organizations. Strategic Support: Represent the Powerplant department in meetings to support the company’s strategic decision-making. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement and transformation projects as a representative for the Powerplant department. Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of Engine and APU Borescope Inspection (BSI) reports. Evaluation: Evaluate engines for lease or purchase based on documentation and checklists. Inspection: Visit MRO facilities during engine shop visits for inspections after disassembly and at other required times. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. Educational Qualifications: Degree: Engineering Degree in a Technical Field (or equivalent experience). Certification: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer certification with at least 10 years of direct experience with Engines/Powerplant systems. Experience Required: Industry Experience: Minimum of 8 years in an Airline/Powerplant Engineering department. Competencies: Technical Knowledge: In-depth technical and commercial knowledge of engine fleet maintenance, repair, and management. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to address and resolve technical issues. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
