Editorial Graphic Designer(Remote)(5+ Years)(8 LPA)

Responsibilities: • Design graphics, logos, show packaging, and infographics for the global editorial team according to standards and direction of the Editor at Large (Editorial Design). • Collaborate with the Editor at Large (Editorial Design), Head of Production, and editors to deliver high-quality visuals that uphold and further the News brand. • Develop design solutions from creative briefs, synthesize stakeholder needs into design considerations, and adapt work as necessary from feedback. • Work cross-functionally with production, editorial, design, and product teams. • Implement brand guidelines and develop new design systems as needed. • Contribute to building and sustaining design culture at News. • Stay current with design trends and tool/resource innovations. • Prioritize and monitor progress of tasks of multiple projects to ensure content is delivered in a timely and efficient manner according to the deadlines laid out by stakeholders. • Manage priorities and workflow in order to deliver on schedule agreed to by stakeholders. Basic Qualifications • BFA or MFA or equivalent work experience • 5+ years of professional working experience in using Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva and other design tools in a professional creative or editorial environment Preferred Qualifications: • A portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking across a range of touchpoints. • Proficiency in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, hierarchy, proportion, color, emphasis and consistency. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail. • Belief in journalism's value to people and society; curiosity and excitement about the work and our company. • Curiosity, thoughtfulness, organizational skills, a sense of prioritization and strong attention to detail.
