ResponsibilitiesPort Operations:Coordinating vessel arrivals and departures, including scheduling berthing, pilotage, tugging, and mooring services. Ensuring that vessels are handled efficiently in ports to minimize turnaround times.
Cost Control:Monitoring and controlling costs associated with vessel operations, including port dues, pilotage fees, agency fees, and other expenses. Implementing cost-saving measures where possible without compromising safety or quality.
Regulatory Compliance:Ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations, port regulations, and industry standards. Keeping abreast of changes in regulations and implementing necessary measures to maintain compliance.
Communication:Serving as a liaison between the vessel, shipowners, charterers, port authorities, and other stakeholders. Facilitating effective communication and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise during vessel operations.
Documentation and Reporting:Maintaining accurate records of vessel operations, expenses, and incidents. Generating reports for management and stakeholders to provide visibility into vessel performance and financial metrics.
Skills & ExperiencePort Operations:Experience in coordinating vessel arrivals and departures, including scheduling berthing, pilotage, tugging, and mooring services.
Cost Control:Proven ability to monitor and control costs associated with vessel operations.
Regulatory Compliance:Knowledge of international maritime regulations and industry standards.
Communication:Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:Ability to maintain accurate records and generate reports for management.
