Job Summary

As a strategic leader in Enaya's Property and Casualty (P&C) division, this role is responsible for designing and implementing underwriting strategies to drive retention and profitable growth of Enaya's premium portfolio. The role includes leading and managing both underwriters and claims teams across retail and corporate sectors, ensuring they deliver exceptional service and maintain strong relationships with distributors. Prioritize operational excellence and uphold the highest standards in client service, while also overseeing risk management, data analytics, and actuarial assessments. Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, manage reinsurance planning, and oversee third-party loss adjusters, focusing on audit processes, recoveries, and fraud control.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide leadership and direction to position Enaya as a leading provider of P&C insurance within the marketplace.
  2. Guide the development and execution of Enaya’s strategic underwriting directives to contribute to continued retention and profitable growth.
  3. Actively involve in retail and corporate initiatives for the development of existing and new lines of business.
  4. Build strong distributor relationships and a team of market-facing underwriters.
  5. Identify new opportunities, conduct competitive market and pricing research, and provide direction on growth and profitability targets.
  6. Motivate and develop underwriting and claims teams through counseling and skills development.
  7. Monitor the performance of third-party loss adjusters and oversee audits, recoveries, and fraud control.
  8. Plan and implement all regulatory reporting and compliance.
  9. Lead data analytics, risk management, and actuarial reviews.
  10. Review and plan reinsurance arrangements.

Candidate Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline with Engineering/Mathematics as one of the subjects.
  2. Insurance certification: ACII/equivalent or higher.
  3. 10 years plus insurance experience in underwriting and claims management of P&C insurance products in a leading insurance company.
  4. Strong senior-level management and leadership skills.
  5. Familiarity with managing data analytics and setting the agenda for actuarial reviews.
  6. Proven track record in leading and developing business relationships at a national corporate level.
  7. Flexibility to travel as required to meet retail and corporate mandates.
  8. Local/GCC experience is a big plus.
