RAiN Chartered Accountants, a forward-thinking firm in Johannesburg, is seeking a skilled Senior Forensic Auditor to join our growing forensics department. We’re looking for a candidate who thinks outside the box, approaches complex problems innovatively, and has a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage forensic audit investigations, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  2. Supervise and mentor junior forensic auditors, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  3. Analyse financial, operational and related records, transactions, and data to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and potential fraudulent activities.
  4. Prepare comprehensive, detailed reports of findings, suitable for presentation to clients, legal teams, and regulatory bodies.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and legal specialists, to ensure effective project management.
  6. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in forensic auditing.
  7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of forensic auditing methodologies and processes within the department.
  8. Advanced experience with data analysis tools and software.
  9. Strong understanding of procedures and regulations related to forensic auditing.
  10. Experience in delivering presentations to clients.
  11. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
  12. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key issues.
  13. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate findings accurately and persuasively.
  14. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  15. High ethical standards, with a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: BCom degree or related qualification in Accounting, Forensics, or a similar field.
  2. Experience: At least 6 years of experience in forensic auditing or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  3. Certification: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Institute of Commercial Forensic Practitioners (ICFP) certification is required.
  4. Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing forensic audit teams and complex investigations.
