The Associate Project Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, tracking, and status reporting for RouteOne business and technical project efforts. This position works with internal and external stakeholders to define, manage, and communicate scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables. This individual must be willing to perform analyst and project manager duties and lead highly complex projects.Job Requirements Work with RouteOne management, staff, and external resources to identify, investigate, and address issues, tasks, and related requirements for successful project completion.Perform all work in accordance with company’s quality programs, policies, standards, and procedures.Assist in the management of release status reporting.Create, manage, and update work plans, and ensure resources are executing tasks according to plan.Analyze, create, document, and implement guidelines, standards, and procedures.Manage quality and defect management procedures for assigned release(s).Assist in effort estimation and resource allocation to project work.Produce project communication documentation and presentations such as overviews, roadmaps, kick-off presentations, scope documentation, and project summaries.Act as lead Project Manager for important initiatives.When appropriate, act as primary point of contact for external customers.Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility. Knowledge Experience in budgeting, forecasting, scheduling (Critical Path), and analytical reporting, including baseline development, is paramount.Project management and capital finance experience is strongly desired.Working knowledge of systems development life cycle and project management life cycle is highly desirable. Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to: Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Visio. Fluency with project management tools (MS Project) and project management methodologies.Familiar with Agile software implementation methodologies – experience using JIRA a plus. Abilities Exceptional communication and analytical skills.Ability to think critically and problem solve.Ability to work in a team environment.Strong customer service skills.Disciplined, independent worker with professional demeanor. Ability to multi-task and properly organize workload according to business need.Highly focused in thought and behavior; able to anticipate and solve business issues and maintain a long-term view of the big picture.Self-motivated, self-directed, and politically astute; able to communicate effectively with all levels of owner and customer organizations. Focused on results while maintaining a sense of urgency.Characterized by integrity and high professional ethics.Excellent attention to detail. Other Essential Requirements Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, business management, or economics.1-2 years of experience in project management.
