Job Description: As a Moodle Architect, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of Moodle-based learning management systems (LMS). You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Moodle platforms meet the needs of educational institutions or corporate training environments. Your technical expertise in Moodle, coupled with a strong understanding of LMS concepts, will enable you to deliver robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Architecture:
- Design and develop the overall architecture of Moodle-based LMS solutions.
- Conduct needs analysis to understand and document requirements from stakeholders.
- Create detailed technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, and project plans.
- Install, configure, and customize Moodle platforms.
- Integrate Moodle with other systems (e.g., SIS, HR systems, third-party tools) using APIs and plugins.
- Develop custom plugins and modules to extend Moodle functionality.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
- Ensure security protocols are implemented and maintained.
- Provide technical support to end-users and administrators.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation for users and administrators.
- Assist in the creation and curation of course content and resources.
- Ensure that the Moodle platform complies with relevant educational standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and testing to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Implement best practices for accessibility, usability, and data privacy.
- Work closely with instructional designers, educators, and IT teams to align Moodle capabilities with educational goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers and support staff.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Moodle and LMS technologies.
- Strong technical knowledge of Moodle, including plugin development and customization.
- Proficiency in database management and optimization.
- Knowledge of web server environments and network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with instructional design principles and e-learning standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication, documentation, and project management skills.
