- Security Upgrades:
- Regularly monitor and assess the security posture of the BigCommerce platform.
- Implement and manage security patches and updates to protect against vulnerabilities.
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Module Upgrades:
- Keep all installed modules and integrations up-to-date with the latest versions.
- Test module updates in a staging environment to ensure compatibility and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising from module upgrades.
- Plugin Upgrades:
- Manage and update installed plugins to their latest versions.
- Ensure that plugin updates do not interfere with site performance or functionality.
- Resolve any conflicts or issues caused by plugin upgrades.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor site performance and implement best practices to enhance speed and reliability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and recommend improvements.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for any issues related to BigCommerce.
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex technical problems.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of all upgrades, changes, and security patches.
- Document any issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Proven experience working with BigCommerce, including security and module/plugin management.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and web security best practices.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant web technologies.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications related to BigCommerce or web security.
- Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms and technologies.
- Experience in a remote work environment.
