Category Head - Waste Tyre

Recykal is looking for a seasoned and strategic Category Head for our Waste Tyre Vertical. As the Category Head, you will be instrumental in driving growth, defining strategies, and ensuring the overall success of the Waste Tyre category within Recykal's marketplace. We are seeking a dynamic leader with extensive experience in managing sales/procurement, particularly in waste tyre. Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead initiatives to drive growth within Recykal's Waste Tyre category, taking ownership of key growth drivers and ensuring the category's overall success.
• Take full responsibility for the P&L of the Waste Tyre category, driving both growth and profitability.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the user base, increase sales, and capitalize on growth opportunities within the waste Tyre category.
• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performance team of sales and business development professionals dedicated to the Waste Tyre category. Set clear goals and performance metrics, ensuring the team’s success.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with waste tyre recyclers, sellers, and other key stakeholders. Negotiate with potential partners to onboard them onto Recykal's marketplace.
• Address current gaps in the marketplace and propose innovative solutions to enhance the performance and user experience of the Waste Tyre category.
• Utilize data analytics to inform strategic decisions, optimize operations, and improve key metrics within the waste Tyre category. Encourage a culture of data-driven decision-making within the team.
• Regularly review and analyze the performance of the Waste Tyre category, recommending and implementing improvements based on insights gained.
• Conduct experiments, learn from outcomes, and iterate strategies as needed. Thrive in ambiguous situations and adapt to change.
• Experience and knowledge of assortment in multiple geographies is a significant advantage.

• Over 10 years of experience in sales/procurement, with 5+ years specifically in the waste tyre category.
• Expertise in category management.
• Previous work experience as sales/procurement lead in tyre recycling plant or pyrolysis oil plant is preferable but not mandatory.
• Previous experience in developing imports as well as the domestic market as a supply source of waste tyre is preferable but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performance teams.
• Strong analytical skills with a passion for qualitative analysis.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and adapt to change.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
