Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates | Posted on 01/16/2023 Purpose: The Project Management Officer is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the program, ensuring it is executed in a timely manner and according to the planned budget. This includes collaborating with program managers and providing guidance on PMO policies and processes. Key Responsibilities: Program Planning and Oversight: Establish and refresh a project governance framework to have a structured approach to govern the data enablement program and assign clear roles and responsibilities across the project's initiatives. Create and refresh the data enablement project master plan, highlighting key milestones, action items, respective owners, and timelines. Use appropriate techniques to manage changes in program scope, schedule, and costs. Draft new and improve existing project management policies, methods, standards, guidelines, and processes. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Program Monitoring and Reporting: Ensure the project is executed in a timely manner and key milestones are achieved adequately. Maintain an overview of tasks, issues, and risks, and coordinate these between teams. Ensure program-wide compliance with relevant internal regulations and policies. Create and maintain project management artifacts including weekly status reports, executive status reports, RAID logs, etc. Collaborate with the technical project management officer to identify and document the different risks and issues of the program and identify mitigation actions for remediation. Escalate any major issues of the program to the program managers and director whenever needed. Align with initiatives lead and the technical PMO to consolidate and provide status reports of the program across the different initiatives. Document key actions from meetings and reflect them in the project plan whenever required. Continuously evaluate projects to ensure they are meeting entity standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines. Monitor the different initiative's budget consumption against the plan. Measure program performance using the defined performance framework and report accordingly. Coordinate the production of all project status reports and produce portfolio summary reports (dashboards). Requirements Qualification & Skills: More than 5 years of experience in managing programs in similar organizations. Preferred degree in Business Administration, Data Management & Governance, or Information Management. A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred. Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and technical skills. Understanding of PMO tools and governance.
