The International University of Science & Technology in Kuwait (IUK) is a newly established private university in Kuwait, with a new Campus located in the heart of Kuwait near the Avenues Mall. Fully accredited by the Private Universities Council (PUC), the University offers a wide range of academic programs in Engineering, Business, and Arts and Social Sciences. In addition to the academic programs, the IUK has established the University Foundation Program (UFP) that offers English and Math foundation programs. Position Summary: The primary role of the Mechanical Supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics and technicians. Responsibilities:

  1. Inspecting facilities and equipment for problems and maintenance needs.
  2. Ensuring that safety procedures are being followed and enforced.
  3. Giving technical advice and support to solve operating and maintenance problems.
  4. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Professional Certificates are an added value.
  3. Attention to detail and due diligence.
  4. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  5. Good analytical skills.
Experience:
  1. Minimum 10 years of experience in similar roles.
  2. Experience with operations and predictive/preventative maintenance systems.
Technical Skills:
  1. Fluent with inventory and materials management concepts, including inventory control and usage analysis.
  2. Inspection and repair skills.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  4. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting systems, etc.
Behavioral Skills:
  1. Organizational skills with a commitment to quality service.
  2. Attention to detail and due diligence.
  3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
