In considering candidates for appointment into the advertised posts, preference will be accorded to persons from a designated group in accordance with the approved Nelson Mandela University Employment Equity Plan.CORE PURPOSE OF JOBTo facilitate learning, teaching and research with undergraduate and postgraduate radiographystudents.To facilitate the learning process for undergraduate and postgraduate students intending tobecome radiographers.KEY PERFORMANCE AREASFacilitate the learning and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate radiography students.Conduct clinical teaching and assessment at accredited training facilities.Perform academic administrative duties.Facilitate academic engagement.Participate in research activities in the department.CORE COMPETENCIESIn-depth knowledge of the theory and practice of Diagnostic Radiography.Experience of clinical radiographic teaching and assessment.Experience in teaching academic radiographic modules.Strong skills in dealing with people at all levels.Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo be considered for the Senior Lecturer position, in addition to the above requirements the following is required:Qualifications Master's degree in Radiography or other relevant master's degree PhD registration or qualification as an advantage Professional registration and CPD involvement Registration as a Radiographer with the HPCSAProven record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) ExperienceAt least 2 to 6 years' experience in lecturing Radiography to under- and/or postgraduate students,and relevant working experience in a clinical Radiography environment.Research Conducts research in the discipline of Radiography.Proven track-record of research supervision and recent DHET accredited publicationsCLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS:Please note that no late applications will be accepted.
