This is your opportunity to join Watercare's Strategy and Planning team and lead Watercare's relationship with some of the major developers across Auckland. You will lead on a specific geographic area and manage Watercare's engagement on large-scale developments. This is a key facilitation role between Watercare and external parties involved in residential and commercial land development. These developments are high profile, complex, and have significant infrastructure consequences for Watercare and greater Auckland. You will be actively involved in ensuring that the proposed water and wastewater infrastructure is fit for purpose and that any dependencies such as new or upgraded infrastructure have been clearly documented. This will involve coordinating and communicating to the parties on the timing and funding needed for the planning and delivery of any connecting wastewater and water infrastructure. This will include working with internal teams to identify any constraints within the existing and planned networks to accommodate the planned growth and leading negotiations on commercial agreements. To be successful in this role, you will have a strong work ethic, enjoy working in a team environment, and be an excellent communicator. Your skills and background must include:
- A tertiary level water and wastewater engineering and/or Resource Management professional qualification.
- 5+ years experience in a related field.
- Preferably strong project management experience.
- Ability to adapt to new systems and analyse and present data trends.
