What will you be doing? Reporting to the Claims Recoveries Manager, you will minimize the impact of claims costs for Tower and seek to recover costs from both third-party insurers and uninsured third parties in the shortest possible timeframe with the intention of maximising the chance of a successful recovery. You will use your negotiation skills to reach an agreeable settlement whilst mitigating the chance of entering a litigation process. You can expect to be across the following:
- Management of Recoveries incurred by Tower.
- Establish details of the debtor (including their insurer, if applicable).
- Approach either the at-fault third party or their insurer to negotiate settlement of costs via a range of channels to maximize the chance of successful contact.
- Prepare the recovery of claims right through to the Disputes Tribunal if you have not been able to reach an agreeable settlement.
- Refer files that have not had successful contact with third-party agents and assist them with any inquiries they may have in their attempts to make contact.
- Follow up Disputes Tribunal outcomes to ensure settlement by the debtor, referring to court action where necessary.
- Remain up to date with the legislative requirements affecting our business.
- Minimum 6 months + experience in managing motor/complex/property claims.
- Experience of Disputes Tribunal proceeding is an advantage.
- 2 years' experience in the Insurance or Financial Services Industry preferred.
