Our Civil-Structural group specializes in the engineering of foundations, buildings and a wide range of mining and industrial structures. Focused on providing the most cost-effective solutions to engineering challenges, we are involved in a diverse range of projects from the initial planning stages to design, construction, and commissioning. This role will be based out of our Rossland BC offices.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct structural inspections for industrial projects.

Design equipment foundations and support structures.

Make technical decisions with limited information.

Estimate and prepare engineering proposals.

Ensure projects are on task, on budget and on schedule.

Approve and stamp own project design and reports, and those of engineers in training for whom you are providing peer review, as appropriate.

Client-facing, able to represent the company and the community in presentations and meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering.

7+ years of experience in consulting engineering.

Registered P.Eng. in the province of Alberta, British Columbia or Saskatchewan.

Possess advanced technical skills in steel and concrete design, with field experience.

Have design experience in heavy industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Hydro & Dam and Renewable Energy.

Substation design experience - an asset.

Working knowledge of Canadian codes and standards, as well as good design practices.

Proficiency in the use of SAP 2000 or similar.

The expected salary for this position is from $105,440 to $131,800 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate. Contact Eric Fenyedi #LI-Hybrid.
