Senior Auditor

My client offers second to none training and support and provides professional services to some of the most successful companies in New Zealand. About the role: In this role you will be responsible for conducting assurance and audit activities in an accurate, timely manner following set processes and procedures. My client is looking for someone who can establish and maintain positive client relationships and networks. Someone who understands what the client needs and considers this in everything undertaken. Someone who can build and maintain positive working relationships. Duties:

1. Conduct full statutory audits for companies in compliance with the Companies Act.
2. Conduct reviews in accordance with the Institute of Chartered Accountants review guidelines.
3. Conduct due diligence engagement on behalf of a purchaser or vendor of a business.
4. Conduct audits for special purposes, in accordance with agreements or particular legislation. For example, royalty audits, turnover certificates, cost claims, Real Estate Agents, expenditure reports.
5. Conduct internal audit assists management and directors to fulfil their governance obligation.
6. Allocate work amongst team based on skills, development needs and workload.
7. Supervise, review and sign off work.
8. Provide coaching and support to team members.
9. Arrange or conduct training sessions on topics of interest and relevance to the team.

1. Degree in Business majoring in accounting.
2. Full CA membership or equivalent.
3. Minimum of three to four years practical assurance and audit experience in an organisation that specialises in Assurance and Audit (4 - 5 years ideally).
4. Proficient with Microsoft office and willing to increase software/technology capability.
