Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates | Posted on 05/23/2024 Our esteemed Investment Management client is looking to hire Investment/Portfolio Managers across various sectors such as: Media & Entertainment The Investment Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing investment portfolios across specific sectors, ensuring alignment with the fund's strategic goals and risk appetite. This role involves analyzing market trends, assessing investment opportunities, and developing strategies to enhance portfolio performance. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of financial markets, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in portfolio management across specific sectors. Responsibilities: Develop and implement investment strategies for portfolios across specific sectorsMonitor and evaluate portfolio performance, making adjustments as needed to optimize returns and manage risks.Conduct regular portfolio reviews and prepare performance reports for senior management and stakeholders.Stay informed on global economic trends, market conditions, and sector-specific developments.Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities.Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess the viability and potential returns of investments.Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with investment portfolios.Develop risk management strategies and ensure compliance with the fund's risk tolerance and investment policies.Regularly review and update risk management frameworks to adapt to changing market conditions.Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term investment strategies aligned with the fund's objectives.Formulate sector-specific investment theses and strategies.Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives and investment projects.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and investment partners.Provide insights and recommendations on investment decisions and portfolio management.Build and maintain relationships with industry experts, analysts, and other key stakeholders.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.Must have CFA qualification6+ years of experience in investment management, portfolio management, or a related role within a financial institution.Extensive knowledge of financial markets and various investment sectors.Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Proven ability to manage and optimize large and complex investment portfolios.Proficiency in investment management software and tools.
